About this course
Persimmon Ridge Golf Club is located in western Shelby County, Kentucky, about 25 minutes from downtown Louisville. Arthur Hills designed the 18-hole course, which opened in 1989 on a tract with roughly 120 feet of elevation change, winding through woods, over creeks, and around lakes.
The course has repeatedly hosted the Kentucky Open, along with other state amateur and professional championships, including the Kentucky Amateur and Kentucky Women's Open. From the back tees it plays to roughly 7,113 yards.
Persimmon Ridge operates as a semi-private club offering membership alongside reciprocal access to sister clubs, with a golf academy, practice facilities, and a short par-3 course called Shorty's on site.
