About

Trustworthy course intelligence, built for golfers.

BogeyMap is an independent agentic AI golf course recommendation engine for the United States, focused on golf you can actually go play.

What BogeyMap is

BogeyMap helps a golfer answer one question well: what should I play next, and can I actually get on it? We index public, resort, municipal, and semi-private courses across the United States, plus the private clubs that matter to the conversation, and we label access honestly instead of implying every course is bookable.

You can search by course name, by city or ZIP with a real driving radius, browse golf by state and city, compare courses in the LooperScore rankings, explore the work of course architects, or ask LooperAI, which answers only from the BogeyMap catalog.

Who builds it

BogeyMap is built and edited by Adam, its founder, a golfer who got tired of trip planning that meant twenty browser tabs, stale phone numbers, and rankings that quietly assumed you were a member somewhere. Editorial decisions, Access Intel research, course photography, and score review all run through the same desk, which is why the standards below are specific rather than aspirational.

Questions, corrections, and course submissions reach us directly at support@bogeymap.com.

How LooperScore works

LooperScore is BogeyMap's own 0–100 rating. It is original to this site: we do not republish, mirror, or rescale any magazine's ranking. It combines course quality and character signals, verified golfer ratings submitted on BogeyMap, and editorial review of the underlying evidence.

Golfer ratings are submitted on a 1–100 scale by signed-in accounts. They move a course's LooperScore by a capped amount, only once enough ratings exist to be meaningful, and ratings from accredited raters in BogeyMap Ground Crew carry additional weight. A course shows no score at all until the evidence behind it holds up, a blank is more honest than a guess.

The complete formula, input weights, the ±5 golfer cap, the 5-rating floor, human review, and how to challenge a score, is published on the LooperScore methodology page.

Access Intel and what we never claim

Access Intel is our own written research on how a course is generally accessed: whether outside play is allowed, whether a resort stay or a sponsor is typically involved, and what a visiting golfer should realistically expect. Some of it is reserved for BogeyMap Pro members.

We do not sell tee times, we do not broker introductions, and we never guarantee access to a private club. Policies change without notice and the club is always the final authority. We also do not invent green fees, tee-time availability, or reviews.

Photography and reviews

Every course photo published on BogeyMap was taken by us on the property. We do not use stock imagery, AI-generated images, press-kit renders, or third-party aerials. When we haven't been somewhere yet, the course shows a branded panel rather than a borrowed photo.

Reviews require an account, are screened before publication, and follow our review guidelines. Anyone can flag a listing or a review with the report control on the page.

Corrections

Course data changes: courses close, clubs change access, names change after a sale. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix the record rather than defend it. Email support@bogeymap.com or use the contact page. Coverage is United States only, and BogeyMap is for adults 18 and over.
