About this course
Nevel Meade sits on a high plateau above Harrods Creek in Prospect, Kentucky, northeast of Louisville. Designed by architect Steve Smyers and opened around 1990, it is one of his earliest projects and was built as an open, largely treeless layout inspired by Scottish links golf.
The course features bentgrass fairways and greens, deep bunkering and a fresh-water spring, with wind playing a significant role given the exposed terrain. Century-old trees line some of the borders, but the interior holes are notably open compared with the parkland courses common elsewhere in the state.
Nevel Meade operates as a daily-fee club offering annual memberships alongside public tee times, with carts available and walking permitted.
