About this course

Bethpage State Park's Green Course sits within the five-course public golf complex in Farmingdale on Long Island, operated by New York State Parks. The course was originally built as the Lenox Hills layout and was redesigned by architect Alfred H. Tull when it reopened in 1958 alongside the Black, Red and Blue courses. It plays over gently sloped ground with small greens, giving it a reputation as an approachable option for beginners and casual players while still offering some challenge from the back tees. As with the other Bethpage courses, tee times are booked through the state park system, and the facility includes a clubhouse, pro shop and driving range shared across the complex. The Green Course typically opens in mid March and stays open into late November, weather permitting, and remains open to any member of the public.
