Courses in Dallas
Stevens Park Golf Course
Dallas, TX
Stevens Park opened in 1924 as Dallas's second city course. Jack Burke Sr. laid out the original nine, and it later grew to 18. It sits in Oak Cliff between the Kessler Park and Stevens Park Estates neighborhoods, just west of downtown. Colligan Golf Design rebuilt every hole in 2011. The work changed the routing, made it a par 70, added 38 bunkers and new Bermuda greens, and planted hundreds of trees and rosebushes. A creek and hilly ground give it more shape than most Dallas golf. It is a city course open to everyone, and neighbors still raise money each year to help care for it.
Keeton Park Golf Course
Dallas, TX
Keeton Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole municipal course in southeast Dallas, designed by David Bennett and opened in 1978. The course features beautiful pecan tree-lined fairways, multiple water hazards, and quality conditions that have made it a staple of the Dallas Parks golf system for nearly five decades. Playing to 6,521 yards from the tips with a slope of 127, Keeton Park offers a genuine test of golf at an accessible municipal price point.
Tenison Park Golf Course (Highlands)
Dallas, TX
The Highlands Course is the championship 18 at Tenison Park, Dallas's historic municipal complex east of downtown where Lee Trevino once caddied. The par-71 layout plays to about 7,000 yards from the tips after a major renovation, with tree-lined fairways and the downtown skyline visible from several holes. Tenison dates to 1924 and remains one of the busiest public facilities in Texas.

Dallas, TX
Luna Vista Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal course in northwest Dallas. The City of Dallas Parks Department operates it. Renamed from L. B. Houston Golf Course, the facility was renovated in 2012. The course plays to par 71 at about 6,600 yards. It has mature trees and water features.
Bear Creek
Dallas, TX
Bear Creek Golf Club sits near DFW International Airport in Dallas, Texas, and offers two 18-hole layouts, the East and West courses, both designed by Ted Robinson. The courses wind through mature oak groves with water features worked into the natural terrain, and Bermuda fairways lead to greens guarded by bunkers. The club is open to the public for tee times and has hosted PGA Tour qualifying rounds, the Texas State Open and AJGA events. Facilities include a golf shop, practice areas, a restaurant and an outdoor dining area called The Backyard. The course is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset, closed on Christmas Day.
Cedar Crest Golf
Dallas, TX
Cedar Crest Golf Course is an 18-hole public course in Dallas, Texas, designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened in 1919 as Cedar Crest Country Club. The course hosted the Dallas Open in 1926 and the PGA Championship in 1927, where Walter Hagen won his fourth consecutive PGA title. The club closed in 1929 and changed hands before the City of Dallas purchased the property in 1946, converting it to public play. It also hosted the United Golf Association's Negro National Open and the USGA Public Links in 1954. The course was renovated by D.A. Weibring in 2004 and now plays to a par of 70 at 6,532 yards, with rolling terrain and tree-lined fairways south of downtown Dallas.
