The par-72 course features dramatic elevation changes, sidehill lies and native wetlands, along with four holes patterned after famous holes elsewhere, including versions of Augusta National's third, Pinehurst No. 2's eleventh, St. Andrews' fourteenth, and Riviera's tenth. Six sets of tees stretch the course from around 4,900 to over 7,200 yards. The club includes a full-service clubhouse with a bar and grille and hosts player development and junior golf programs. The Tradition Golf Club at Stonehouse
Toano, VA · 15 mi away
Stonehouse Golf Club, formerly known as Tradition Golf Club at Stonehouse, is an 18-hole course in Toano, Virginia, near the York River in the Tidewater region. The course was designed by architect Mike Strantz and opened in 1996, laid over hilly terrain among hardwoods, with large greens set on natural rock formations. From the back tees the course plays 7,013 yards to a par of 72, with deep bunkers and wide fairways shaping the mountain-style routing. The club fell into disrepair and closed in November 2017 after a period of financial difficulty, then was purchased in December 2018 and reopened for play in July 2019. Today the club offers public tee times, a driving range, practice greens, and the Virginia Grill restaurant, and hosts tournaments and outings.
