About this course

Stonehouse Golf Club, formerly known as Tradition Golf Club at Stonehouse, is an 18-hole course in Toano, Virginia, near the York River in the Tidewater region. The course was designed by architect Mike Strantz and opened in 1996, laid over hilly terrain among hardwoods, with large greens set on natural rock formations.

From the back tees the course plays 7,013 yards to a par of 72, with deep bunkers and wide fairways shaping the mountain-style routing. The club fell into disrepair and closed in November 2017 after a period of financial difficulty, then was purchased in December 2018 and reopened for play in July 2019.

Today the club offers public tee times, a driving range, practice greens, and the Virginia Grill restaurant, and hosts tournaments and outings.
