About this course
Crenshaw Cliffside opened in 1991 as one of the first courses Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed together, and Crenshaw, an Austin native and two-time Masters champion, built it around his view that "the best architect is nature." The par-71 layout plays to about 6,650 yards (72.6 rating, 133 slope from the back tees) with wide, tree-lined fairways and large, heavily contoured greens, so the real test is the approach rather than the drive. It is shorter and more forgiving off the tee than the resort's Fazio Foothills course, and it received a renovation in 2018 with Champion Bermuda greens. The finishing hole plays slightly uphill, with an approach over a running creek to a low green cut into the hillside. Cliffside hosted a round of the 2022 PGA Professional Championship. Tee times are for resort guests and Barton Creek members, bookable up to 120 days out.

Omni Barton Creek (Fazio Canyons)
Austin, TX · 1.7 mi away
Fazio Canyons is the second Tom Fazio design at Omni Barton Creek, opened in 1999 and routed through limestone cliffs, red oaks and sycamores along Short Springs Branch, a spring-fed creek that winds through much of the course. At 7,433 yards and par 72 it is the longest layout at the resort. In 2022 it reopened after a seven-month, $5 million renovation, done with Fazio's team, that added new tees, rebuilt the bunkers and greens, and installed Toptracer on the range. It was the first resort course in Texas certified as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary. The round closes with a 561-yard par-5 finishing hole, often compared with the famous 18th on Foothills. Play is for resort guests and members, with tee times bookable up to 120 days ahead.

Omni Barton Creek (Palmer Lakeside)
Spicewood, TX · 3.4 mi away
Palmer Lakeside is Omni Barton Creek's satellite course, set on a hilltop above Lake Travis in Spicewood, roughly 25 miles west of the main resort. Arnold Palmer designed it, and it opened in 1986 as Hidden Hills Country Club before Barton Creek took it over in 1989. The par-72 layout has big elevation changes and wide lake views, and it favors long hitters, especially on the dogleg-left par-5 12th and par-4 13th for players who can draw the ball. The signature hole is the par-3 11th, framed by a cascading waterfall. It was renovated in 2024 with new NorthBridge Bermuda fairways. Access is for resort guests and members, bookable up to 120 days ahead.
