About this course
Ocean Edge Golf Club sits on the former Nickerson estate in Brewster, Massachusetts, on the bay side of Cape Cod. The original 18-hole course, designed by Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva, opened in 1986. Nicklaus Design rebuilt the course from the ground up, and the new layout opened in 2007.
The front holes move through pine and oak woodland with several ponds, while the back nine opens into wider ground with more room off the tee. The rebuild kept the general routing through the property but reshaped the greens and bunkers and added length, so the course now plays to about 7,011 yards from the back tees.
Cape wind and firm, well-defended greens are the main test, since the terrain itself is only moderately rolling rather than dramatic.
The course is private to Ocean Edge Club members and resort guests, with no public tee times.

Dennis Pines Golf Course is located in the village of East Dennis on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, set on about 170 acres of pine forest. The course was designed by Henry C. Mitchell and opened for play in 1966. Tree-lined corridors give the course a reputation as one of the toughest layouts on Cape Cod, placing a premium on accuracy over distance, with water coming into play on four holes; the par-5 twelfth is considered one of the more demanding holes on the Cape. Architect Robert McNeil more recently redesigned the course's bunkering across the front and back nines to improve playability while keeping the character of the holes. Dennis Pines is a municipal course open to the public, playing to a par of 72 over roughly 7,000 yards from the back tees, with a full practice facility, pro shop and restaurant on site.
