About this course

The West Course is one of two 18-hole layouts at Malone Golf Club in Malone, New York, near the Adirondacks and the Canadian border. Robert Trent Jones designed the West Course in 1987 as part of an expansion that paired it with the club's original Donald Ross-designed East nine holes from the 1930s.

The West plays to a par of 71 across rolling, tree-lined fairways with large white sand bunkers ringing the greens; the par-4 11th has a tight landing area, and the par-3 13th and par-4 15th both feature water in play. The front nine is generally the easier scoring stretch, with the back nine offering more natural hazards.

Malone operates as a semi-private club with 36 total holes between its East and West courses, open to members and outside play through its pro shop.
