Robert Trent Jones designed the West Course in 1987 as part of an expansion that paired it with the club's original Donald Ross-designed East nine holes from the 1930s. The West plays to a par of 71 across rolling, tree-lined fairways with large white sand bunkers ringing the greens; the par-4 11th has a tight landing area, and the par-3 13th and par-4 15th both feature water in play. The front nine is generally the easier scoring stretch, with the back nine offering more natural hazards. Malone operates as a semi-private club with 36 total holes between its East and West courses, open to members and outside play through its pro shop.
