About this course

East Potomac Golf Links' Blue Course is an 18-hole municipal layout on Hains Point in Washington, D. C., bordered by the Potomac River and Washington Channel. Designed by Walter Travis and opened in 1920, it was conceived as a reversible course in the tradition of the Old Course at St. Andrews. The National Park Service owns the land, and National Links Trust has managed the facility's restoration since 2020. Flat and walkable, the course offers views of the Washington Monument and Tidal Basin and sits amid the city's famous cherry blossom trees.
