About this course
Rock Creek Park Golf Course is a National Park Service golf facility in Washington, D.C., located along 16th Street NW in Rock Creek Park. Designed by architect William S. Flynn, the original nine holes opened in 1923 and the course was expanded to 18 holes by 1926; a 1950s Military Road realignment prompted front-nine changes by architect William F. Gordon. The back nine is currently closed for safety renovations, with the front 9-hole course (par 65, 4,961 yards) and a 5-hole loop open for play; the National Park Service and National Links Trust are planning a restoration of the historic design.
