About this course

Clearview Park Golf Course occupies about 111 acres in Bayside, Queens, near Little Neck Bay, with views toward the East River and Long Island Sound. The property began in 1925 as the Clearview Golf and Yacht Club, whose members included New York Governor Alfred E. Smith, with the course laid out by Willie Tucker on gently rolling ground. The City of New York purchased the property in 1931, and Parks Department crews rebuilt the entire course and clubhouse between 1935 and 1940. Today it operates as a public 18-hole municipal course of about 6,328 yards, playing to a par of 70, and is managed under a concession agreement, currently through GolfNYC. Rye and bluegrass fairways lead to bentgrass and Poa annua greens.
