Scottsdale, AZ

The Monument Course at Troon North in Scottsdale was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish and opened in 1990. It takes its name from the granite outcropping standing in the middle of the third fairway. The routing threads through boulder fields and saguaro stands in the upper Sonoran Desert, with fairways defined by desert on both sides rather than rough. Weiskopf and Morrish left the natural washes in place, so several holes require a carry from the tee and the safe line is often the longer one. It is open to public and resort play, walkable in the cooler months, and remains the older of the two courses at the club.

Erie, CO

Colorado National Golf Club is a public course in Erie, Colorado, about 20 minutes north of Denver, designed by Jay Morrish. It opened in 2003 under the name Vista Ridge. The par-72 layout spans 232 acres with bunkers, lakes and elevation change, and stretches to 7,567 yards from the back tees across five sets of tee boxes. Views take in the Rocky Mountains, including Longs Peak and Mount Meeker. The club is home to the University of Colorado's men's and women's golf teams. In 2023 the course completed a bunker renovation along with laser leveling and expanded teeing areas.

Scottsdale, AZ

Troon North Golf Club's Pinnacle Course is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Sonoran Desert terrain near Pinnacle Peak, part of a 36-hole facility that also includes the Monument Course. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish and opened in 1995, the Pinnacle plays across waste areas and sandy washes typical of desert golf, with the title 10th hole requiring a forced carry to a green set at the base of a small rocky rise. Prior Lake, MN

The Wilds Golf Club is located in Prior Lake, Minnesota, a short drive from the Twin Cities, set among ponderosa pines, hardwoods and wetlands with more than 150 feet of elevation change across the property. Water comes into play on nearly half the holes. The course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish and opened in the mid-1990s, routed in a figure-eight pattern around an adjoining residential development. The clubhouse takes design cues from Frank Lloyd Wright and overlooks the Minneapolis skyline. The Wilds is a public, daily-fee course with tee times available directly through the club. Bentgrass fairways and more than 70 bunkers are notable features of the layout.

Spring, TX

Cypresswood Golf Club is a 36-hole public complex in Spring, Texas, north of Houston, sited along the confluence of Spring and Cypress creeks. The Cypress Course, one of its two original 18s, opened in 1988 and was designed by Robert von Hagge with Bruce Devlin, threading tree-lined fairways through pines and hardwoods with water in play on many holes. The facility is daily-fee public and also includes a separate Tradition Course designed by Keith Foster.

Carefree, AZ

The Boulders Club South Course is an 18-hole layout in Carefree, Arizona, in the Sonoran Desert foothills near Scottsdale. It was designed by Jay Morrish and opened in 1984 alongside a companion North Course at the same resort. The layout is built into and around large granite boulder formations, with holes climbing into rock outcrops on the front nine and desert washes and native vegetation framing play throughout. Coyotes, javelina and other desert wildlife are commonly seen during rounds. The South Course operates as the resort's public/resort track, open to hotel guests, members and daily-fee players, while the North Course remains private.

Mount Pleasant, TX

Mount Pleasant Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Its front nine was built in 1939 by the Works Progress Administration to a Perry Maxwell design, with sand greens that were converted to grass in the 1950s. The back nine opened in 2002 with TifEagle bermuda greens. The course measures 6,412 yards from the back tees and wraps around a lake, with a lakeside clubhouse built in 1981. It runs as a semi-private club, so both members and outside golfers can arrange play.
