Courses in Tomahawk
Edgewater Country Club
Tomahawk, WI
Edgewater Country Club is located on the shores of Lake Alice in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, in the state's Northwoods region. A course has occupied the area since the late 1920s, and the current nine-hole layout has operated under family ownership for about 25 years. The course plays over rolling, wooded ground typical of the Northwoods, with the par-5 seventh hole running along the lakefront as its best-known feature and a par-3 ninth requiring a shot over water. Terrain mixes trees, water hazards and gentle elevation change across the nine holes. Edgewater is open to the public daily during the season and offers tee times by phone, a driving range and a daily food menu. It is easy to find just off County Road A near Highway 51, about a mile east of the highway on Echo Valley Road.
Inshalla Country Club
Tomahawk, WI
Inshalla Country Club is a public golf course north of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, that opened in 1964 as a nine-hole, family-owned course. It grew into its current 18-hole routing under continued local ownership, with the Hein family credited as designers. The course winds through the Northwoods and serves both area residents and visitors to the region's lake country, with a par of 70 over roughly 5,900 yards from the back tees. Ownership changed in 2017, but Inshalla has stayed a locally run, family business, with a driving range, practice greens, a bar and grill, and banquet space for weddings and outings.
