River Vale, NJ

River Vale Country Club is a semi-private course in northern Bergen County, owned by the Township of River Vale and open to public daily-fee play alongside seasonal members. The course dates to 1931 and was designed by Orrin Smith, who spent years working with Donald Ross. The par-72 layout plays 6,504 yards from the blue tees, with tree-lined fairways that punish wayward driving on a moderate-length, classic routing. It has been voted the best public golf course in Bergen County by readers of 201 Magazine multiple years running. The facility includes a Toptracer driving range, and the bar and restaurant are open during the golf season.
