Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is a county-owned public course in Little Egg Harbor, in the South Jersey pinelands. George Fazio designed the par-72 layout, which opened in 1961 as a private club before Ocean County purchased it in 1988. From the championship tees it stretches to 6,848 yards with a slope of 134, with long fairways corridor through tall pines and rough that tightens every tee shot. The par-3 sixth is the talked-about hole, with a pond sitting in the middle of the fairway. Because of its private-club origins, the facility keeps amenities most munis lack, including a full restaurant and banquet space.
