Walking Stick Golf Course

Pueblo, CO

Walking Stick Golf Course is a city-owned public course in Pueblo, Colorado, built on land that combines prairie grassland with higher desert terrain. It was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1991. Rather than traditional rough, native grasses and sand areas border many fairways, giving the course a different look from typical Front Range parkland layouts. The back nine in particular uses the site's natural contours for changes in elevation, and the course plays to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees with four sets of tees available for shorter options. Walking Stick is open to public play year round, weather permitting, and also serves as the home course for Colorado State University Pueblo's golf teams. A driving range and pro shop are on site, and tee times can be booked directly through the course.

Pueblo City Park Golf Course

Pueblo, CO

Elmwood Golf Course, formerly known as City Park Golf Course, is an 18-hole public course in Pueblo, Colorado, owned and operated by the city. It originated in the early 1900s and opened in its current form around 1932, designed by the Army Corps of Engineers, and takes its current name from the thousands of trees lining its fairways. The course plays to a par of 70 across roughly 5,300 to 6,600 yards depending on tee selection, with a separate nine-hole, par-30 executive course also on the property. Facilities include a driving range, two putting greens, a chipping green, a pro shop, and a restaurant.
