Arrowhead Golf Club is located in Littleton, Colorado, in the foothills southwest of Denver, threading through towering red sandstone rock formations formed over hundreds of millions of years. Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the course, which opened in 1972. The routing works through and around the sandstone outcroppings, producing significant elevation change and forced carries on the back nine in particular, and deer, elk and foxes are commonly seen on the grounds. The course operates as a public daily-fee facility managed by Arcis Golf, popular for tournaments and weddings in addition to golf, and is frequently cited as one of the most photographed courses in the country.
