About this course

Whittaker Woods Golf Club, also marketed as the Woodlands Course at Whittaker, is an 18-hole public course in New Buffalo, Michigan, in the Harbor Country area of the state's southwest corner near the Indiana line. It was built through woods and wetlands by owners Dan and Mary O'Brien and opened in 1996, designed by architect Ken Killian.

The course plays as long as about 7,072 yards from the back tees down to under 5,000 yards from the forward tees across five tee placements. The front nine is narrow and wooded with doglegs, while the back nine opens up but adds its own challenges, with water, bunkering and undulating greens throughout.

The facility includes a stone-and-timber clubhouse, driving range, and short-game practice areas, and golf attire is required on the course.
