About this course
Scott Schreiner Golf Course, historically known as the Schreiner Municipal Golf Course, opened in 1924 as the Kerrville Country Club in the Texas Hill Country. The City of Kerrville acquired the property in 1934, making it the first and only municipal golf course in Kerr County, and later renamed it in honor of Scott Schreiner for his role in establishing the club.
The course has operated continuously for a century, hosting the annual Heart of the Hills Golf Tournament for decades and, in 2024, celebrating its centennial. A renovation project addressing greens, bunkers and drainage was completed in 2025, the first major overhaul since 1999.
As the only public golf course in Kerr County, it offers daily tee times, cart rentals, a driving range and a pro shop, remaining an accessible option for local and visiting golfers.
