Burnt Pine Golf Club is located within the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida, on the northwest Gulf coast. The front nine winds through pine forest and wetlands, while the back nine runs along Choctawhatchee Bay.
Rees Jones designed the course with Greg Muirhead, and it opened in 1994. A renovation of all eighteen greens and several bunkers was completed in 2014.
The course plays to roughly 7,001 yards from the longest tees, with water in play on many holes and bunkers positioned to reward careful approach play. Burnt Pine operates mainly as a private club within the resort, with limited access reserved for resort guests rather than open public play.
