About this course

The Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colorado, opened in 2002 as one of two courses on a ridge above the Vail Valley. Tom Fazio routed it through aspen groves and sage meadow with the Gore Range in the background.

At altitude the ball flies, so the course is long on the card and shorter in practice. The holes fall and climb with the ridge, the greens are large and heavily contoured, and wind exposure changes from the wooded sections to the open meadow ones.

Access runs through Vail-area lodging and club membership, so tee sheets stay quiet compared with a standard daily-fee resort course.
