The course integrates with the steep, sage-covered mesa terrain, featuring steep drop-offs, tough angles, and Gypsum Creek winding through the layout. The 15th hole is a par-5 exceeding 550 yards from the back tees. Views of the Red Table Mountains are present, and the course has the longest golf season in the Eagle Valley.

Eagle Ranch Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 public course in Eagle, Colorado, roughly 30 minutes west of Vail, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and opened in 2001. The course sits at high altitude, which adds carry and roll to shots, and several holes are set against views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. The layout uses natural water features and varied terrain across both nines, with multiple tee options for different skill levels. Eagle Ranch is open to public play, with a driving range, putting green, and practice areas on site.

Red Sky Golf Club - Fazio Course

Wolcott, CO · 11 mi away

The Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colorado, opened in 2002 as one of two courses on a ridge above the Vail Valley. Tom Fazio routed it through aspen groves and sage meadow with the Gore Range in the background. At altitude the ball flies, so the course is long on the card and shorter in practice. The holes fall and climb with the ridge, the greens are large and heavily contoured, and wind exposure changes from the wooded sections to the open meadow ones. Access runs through Vail-area lodging and club membership, so tee sheets stay quiet compared with a standard daily-fee resort course.
