The course was converted from nine to eighteen holes in 1956 under Ralph Hope's son Bob, then redesigned into an executive course again in 1974, and sold to its current owner in 1992. It was the first regulation-length public golf course built in the Eugene-Springfield area. The course was begun in 1966 on a former dairy farm, with the first nine opening in 1967 and the second in 1968; the clubhouse was converted from the property's original dairy barn. It was designed by Bob Baldock, with a later redesign by Dan Hixson in 2002, and now plays to about 7,143 yards with a par of 72. Owned by the Pliska family, the club operates as a public facility with an event center, restaurant, and lodging, and has hosted U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifying rounds.
