Salem Golf Club
Salem, OR · 25 mi away
Salem Golf Club is an 18-hole course tucked into a forested, country setting near downtown Salem, Oregon. Local businessmen organized the club in the 1920s, purchasing land that included an apple orchard that still borders several fairways. The first nine holes opened in 1927 and the second nine in 1928, making it one of Oregon's older courses. The layout is relatively short and flat but requires careful club selection through narrow, tree-lined fairways that tighten near typical landing areas. Operating as a semi-private club under new ownership as of 2025, Salem Golf Club remains open to public play alongside its roughly 250 members, with two colonial-style clubhouse buildings housing its operations.

A narrow creek winds alongside several holes and small ponds come into play to challenge errant shots. Mature trees and steep sand traps protect the subtly contoured greens throughout the layout. The facility provides power carts and a driving range for the convenience of all players.
