About this course

Emerald Valley Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in Creswell, Oregon, near Eugene, running along the west bank of the Coast Fork of the Willamette River. It was the first regulation-length public golf course built in the Eugene-Springfield area.

The course was begun in 1966 on a former dairy farm, with the first nine opening in 1967 and the second in 1968; the clubhouse was converted from the property's original dairy barn. It was designed by Bob Baldock, with a later redesign by Dan Hixson in 2002, and now plays to about 7,143 yards with a par of 72.

Owned by the Pliska family, the club operates as a public facility with an event center, restaurant, and lodging, and has hosted U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifying rounds.
