About this course

Patriot Hills Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course in Stony Point, Rockland County, owned by the Town of Stony Point and designed by Rick Jacobson. It opened in 2003 on land that once held buildings from the former Letchworth Village complex. The par-71 course plays 6,485 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 72.0 and a slope of 136. Set in the Ramapo Mountains, the layout climbs and drops with big elevation changes and views over the Hudson Valley, which makes walking hard for most players.

West Point Golf Course

West Point, NY · 11 mi away

West Point Golf Course sits in the Hudson Highlands on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York, just off Route 9W between two of the academy's gates. The mountainous site produces dramatic elevation changes and views over the surrounding hills. Architect Robert Trent Jones designed the course, and German prisoners of war held at West Point during World War II assisted with its construction; ballast sand from Liberty ships was used in building the greens. Each tee marker commemorates a period of U.S. military history, and the course is home to the Army West Point golf team. The 18-hole course plays to a par of 70 at roughly 6,000 yards from the longest tees, with narrow, tree-lined corridors and small greens that reward accuracy over length. It is open to the public, with a new clubhouse completed in 2025.
