About this course
Ocean Creek is the Fripp Island Resort course designed by Davis Love III and Paul Cowley, opened in 1995. The par-71 layout plays to about 6,400 yards across four rolling dune ridges, with five holes edged by salt marsh and six more crossing interior wetlands on wooden walkways and bridges. The signature sixth and seventh holes sit on Old House Creek, a marsh Jacques Cousteau called one of the most pristine salt-water habitats in the world. Golf Digest named it one of the ten best new courses in America when it opened. Play is reserved for resort guests and members.

Ocean Point Golf Links (Fripp Island Resort)
Fripp Island, SC · 0.0 mi away
Ocean Point Golf Links is the original course at Fripp Island Resort, designed by George Cobb and opened in 1964. The links-style par-72 layout plays to about 6,556 yards with five holes offering sweeping ocean views, and the flat, honest routing gives way to brisk coastal wind and forced carries. In October 2024 the course unveiled a multi-million-dollar renovation by Dye Designs Group, with recontoured greens, updated bunkers and improved turf that kept Cobb's original vision intact.
The Legends at Parris Island
Beaufort, SC · 13 mi away
The Legends at Parris Island is an 18-hole course located on the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, South Carolina, on ground bordered by salt marsh and tidal creeks. It was originally built in 1947 and later redesigned by George Cobb, with Clyde Johnston credited with a subsequent renovation. The routing winds along wetlands and beneath live oaks, with each hole named for a Marine who trained or served at Parris Island. The setting is unusual for a golf course, bordered by an active military base rather than housing, and recruits training nearby can sometimes be seen or heard from the fairways. The Legends is open to the public, though visitors must complete a base-access registration process before arriving since it sits on federal property. The course plays to a par of 72 and roughly 6,900 yards from the back tees, with marsh and water coming into play on several holes.
Plantation Golf Course at Edisto Beach
Edisto Island, SC · 13 mi away
The Plantation Course at Edisto is a public course on Edisto Island, opened in 1973 under the name Oristo. Developer David Lybrand assembled a local team to build the course in 1971, and architect Tom Jackson completed the final design, blending greens and bunkers into the Lowcountry terrain. Sam Snead, Bob Goalby and Chuck Matlock played the first round after arriving by helicopter at the grand opening. The par-70 layout plays to about 6,175 yards past salt-marsh inlets and moss-draped live oaks, with water in play on 14 holes.
