About this course
La Purisima Golf Course is a public 18-hole course in Lompoc, California, about 30 miles north of Santa Barbara. Kenneth Hume Hunter Jr. developed the course in 1986 with architect Robert Muir Graves, laying it out across 309 acres of rolling, oak-studded sand hills with no surrounding housing or commercial development. Nicknamed "La Piranha" by local golfers, the course plays 7,105 yards from the back tees to a par of 72, with a course rating of 75.4 and a slope of 142.
