Nemacolin Woodlands - Shepherd's Rock

Farmington, PA · 16 mi away

Shepherd's Rock is the second Pete Dye course at Nemacolin in Farmington, Pennsylvania, built with Tim Liddy and opened in 2017. It occupies higher, more wooded Laurel Highlands ground than Mystic Rock across the resort. The course is routed over ridges and through hardwood, with rock ledges left in place and holes falling sharply from tee to fairway. Dye's bunkering and bulkheading appear throughout, and the greens are quick with steep surrounds that punish long-side misses. It plays as a par 72 at over 7,200 yards and is open to resort guests and public play.

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort - Mystic Rock

Farmington, PA · 18 mi away

Mystic Rock is the Pete Dye course at Nemacolin in Farmington, Pennsylvania, built in the mid-1990s across the Laurel Highlands. The name comes from the sandstone boulders left across the property, which Dye kept and routed the golf around rather than removing. The course carries the features Dye is known for: railroad-tie bulkheads, water on both sides of some fairways, and small landing areas framed by rock and bunkering. It plays as a par 72 and gets hard quickly when the wind moves through the highlands. Mystic Rock hosted the PGA Tour's 84 Lumber Classic from 2003 through 2006.
