Tierra Verde Golf Club is a city-owned course in south Arlington, Texas, built on roughly 250 acres of formerly secluded terrain next to the Martin Luther King Jr. Sports Complex. It opened in 1998 and was the first golf course in Texas, and the first municipal course anywhere, certified as an Audubon Signature Sanctuary, reflecting an emphasis on native grasses, constructed ponds and wildlife habitat during construction. The layout offers five sets of tees per hole, sculpted fairways, sand bunkers and numerous water features, with roadrunners, hawks and herons commonly seen around the property. As a municipal course operated by the City of Arlington, it is open to the public, and its practice facilities include a lighted range, a short practice course and a large chipping and putting complex.

While the River Course hugs the Clear Fork of the Trinity River, the Hills Course offers a more upland routing through rolling terrain with wider fairways and a more forgiving character. Both courses share the same clubhouse and practice facilities at 6400 Pecan Valley Drive.
