About this course

Greensboro National Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Summerfield, North Carolina, just north of Greensboro, that opened in 1995. It was designed and built by Don Charles and Mark Charles, the same team behind Olde Homeplace in Winston-Salem, on rolling terrain that crosses lakes and hills. The routing mixes forced carries, such as the wetland crossing on the opening hole, with generally generous fairways and undulating bent greens. The course is part of a residential community and operates on a semi-private basis, offering public tee times alongside memberships, with reduced 12-hole rates added in recent years.

Bryan Park Golf Club - Players Course

Browns Summit, NC · 7.5 mi away

The Players Course at Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center in Browns Summit, North Carolina, opened in 1974 as a design by George Cobb on land near Lake Townsend, north of Greensboro. Architect Rees Jones later reworked the course in 1988, adding bunkering and reshaping several holes while keeping much of Cobb's original routing. The public course features Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens, with tree-lined corridors and lake frontage along several holes. It plays to a par of 72 from multiple tee options and is paired at the same facility with the separate Champions Course, also a Rees Jones design. Bryan Park is city-owned and includes a full practice range and teaching academy alongside its two 18-hole courses.
