Don Charles

Summerfield, NC

Greensboro National Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Summerfield, North Carolina, just north of Greensboro, that opened in 1995. It was designed and built by Don Charles and Mark Charles, the same team behind Olde Homeplace in Winston-Salem, on rolling terrain that crosses lakes and hills. The routing mixes forced carries, such as the wetland crossing on the opening hole, with generally generous fairways and undulating bent greens. The course is part of a residential community and operates on a semi-private basis, offering public tee times alongside memberships, with reduced 12-hole rates added in recent years.
