About this course

The Grande Dunes Resort Course, designed by Roger Rulewich, opened in 2000 along the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach. The course features elevation changes and wide fairways. Towering pines and waterway views define its visual character. The par-3 14th plays along the Intracoastal, requiring a carry over water. The par-4 10th drops downhill to a green protected by bunkers and water. Grande Dunes is a championship-caliber course recognized by golf publications.

The Dunes Golf and Beach Club was incorporated in 1948 near the ocean in Myrtle Beach, with Robert Trent Jones Sr. hired to design the layout as one of his early solo commissions. Rees Jones has led renovation work on the course. Every hole carries its own name, including the par-5 13th, "Waterloo," which doglegs around Lake Singleton. The par-72 course plays 7,450 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 76.1 and a slope of 148. The club is a member-owned, semi-private facility with more than 800 members that allows limited outside tee times.

Arcadian Shores Golf Club

Myrtle Beach, SC · 2.3 mi away

Arcadian Shores Golf Club is a public course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, close to area accommodations along the northern part of the Grand Strand. Opened in 1974, it was the first solo design by architect Rees Jones, who went on to redesign numerous U.S. Open venues. The course combines lakes woven through the fairways, tree-lined corridors of live oak, and elevated, well-bunkered greens. From the back tees it plays to roughly 6,857 yards at a par of 72, with five sets of tees offering options for different playing levels. It remains a regular stop for visiting and local golfers alike.

Pine Ridge Country Club

Edgefield, SC · 2.5 mi away

Pine Ridge Club is located in Edgefield, South Carolina, near the Georgia border in the Augusta area. The club traces its roots to a nine-hole course built in a member's pasture in the late 1950s before moving to its present 84-acre site. The current eighteen-hole layout was designed by Russell Breeden and opened for play in 1968-69. The front nine is relatively flat with rolling hills, while the back nine is hillier and includes several water hazards. Large Bermuda greens and wide fairways characterize the course, with five sets of tees reaching close to 7,000 yards from the championship markers. Pine Ridge operates as a semi-private club with a clubhouse, dining rooms, pool and active member golf groups, while also hosting outside events and non-member play.
