About this course
J.E. Good Park Golf Course, known locally as "The Park," is a municipal course in West Akron, Ohio, about three miles from downtown and bordering Interstate 77. It was designed in 1924 by Bertie Wey, who also designed the South course at nearby Firestone Country Club.
The par-71 layout runs 6,683 yards from its longest tees across 180 acres of tree-lined, gently rolling fairways with well-placed bunkers that reward accuracy over length. The course is easy to walk, with a small pro shop and an upstairs restaurant overlooking the ninth green. It is city-operated and open to the public, hosting local events such as the Summit County Amateur Championship.
