About this course

Golden Bear Golf Club sits inside the Indigo Run community on Hilton Head Island and is open to the public. Jack Nicklaus's design team built it on fairly flat ground, so ponds, marsh and forest shape the holes instead of big mounds. Fairways leave generous landing areas, and the course rewards strategy over power. The par-72 layout stretches to 7,014 yards from the back tees, with shorter sets at 6,643 and 6,184 yards.
