About this course
Glen View Club was incorporated in March 1897 and opened Chicago's second 18-hole course that year, on ground shaped by the North Branch of the Chicago River. It hosted the Western Open and Western Amateur in 1899, the U.S. Amateur in 1902 and the U.S. Open in 1904. Richard Leslie and Herbert J. Tweedie laid out the original; Tom Bendelow, Harry Colt and Donald Ross all touched it, William Flynn redesigned it and Jim Urbina has restored it. The club sits on roughly 200 acres in the village of Golf.
