About this course

Fort Mill Golf Club is a tree-lined 18-hole course a short drive from Charlotte. Donald Ross designed the front nine, which opened in 1948, and George Cobb added the back nine in 1959. Clyde Johnston led a renovation that was unveiled in 2008. The par-72 layout plays to 6,801 yards through oaks and pines, and it is friendly to walkers. Leroy Springs & Company, a local nonprofit, owns and runs it, and the course sells memberships alongside daily play.

The par-72 layout reaches about 6,940 yards from the back tees, set among dense hardwoods and rolling Catawba River terrain with water from lakes and creeks in play on 16 of 18 holes. Tega Cay, SC · 5.2 mi away

Tega Cay Golf Club is a 27-hole public facility on Lake Wylie, minutes from Charlotte. William B. Lewis Jr. and Russell Breeden designed the original Carolina Pines and Cove nines, which opened in 1971, and Clifton, Ezell & Clifton added the Grand View nine in the early 2000s. The three nines can be paired into three different 18-hole courses, all carved into hilly terrain above the lake with big elevation changes. The finishing hole on the Grand View nine was voted the favorite 18th hole in the Charlotte area by WFNZ listeners.
