About this course
Flossmoor was founded in 1899 as Homewood Country Club, laid out by the English-born architect Herbert J. Tweedie, which makes it one of the earliest clubs in the Midwest. It hosted the 1920 PGA Championship, won by Jock Hutchison, and the 1923 U.S. Amateur. Bobby Jones held the course record for more than 60 years. Ray Hearn has done later renovation work.
