About this course

Ravisloe Country Club is an 18-hole, par-70 course in Homewood, Illinois, founded in 1901 on the former Briggs farm. The original nine holes were laid out by James Foulis and Theodore Moreau; William Watson expanded the course to 18 holes from 1910-13, and Donald Ross renovated it from 1917-19. Its Spanish Mission-style clubhouse was designed by George Nimmons, and the property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021. Ravisloe closed in 2008 and reopened as a public course in 2009. A restoration of Ross-era features was carried out by David Esler beginning in 2001.
