About this course
Mountain View is one of two 18-hole courses at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California, set on the desert floor with the Santa Rosa Mountains as a backdrop.
Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, the course plays to a par of 72 over roughly 6,913 yards from the back tees. It is built to be more relaxed and forgiving than its companion Firecliff course, with rolling fairways, desert plantings and water features framing wide, undulating greens across several tee options.
The course is open to the public, with tee times bookable online and resident rate programs for local Palm Desert card holders. It closes for a period each fall for overseeding, and shares practice facilities with the resort's Firecliff course.

The South/West Course at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort is located in Rancho Mirage, California, in the Coachella Valley, with Mount San Jacinto forming a backdrop and thousands of palm trees lining the rolling terrain. The resort offers 27 holes total, arranged as three nines played in different 18-hole combinations. The resort golf courses opened in the late 1970s as part of the Rancho Las Palmas development, which replaced the earlier Desert Air Hotel airstrip property. Six lakes come into play across the three nines, along with strategically placed bunkers guarding the greens. The South/West combination is open to resort guests and the public, and rounds typically play in under four hours. As part of the Omni resort, golfers have access to a clubhouse, practice facilities, and the broader amenities of the property, including dining and spa services.
