About this course

Cottonwood Creek Golf Course is a city-owned course near downtown Waco, Texas, just off Interstate 35. Cottonwood Creek runs through the property, with cottonwood trees lining several fairways.

The course was designed by Joseph Finger, with Pete Dye also credited on the project, and opened in 1985. Water is in play on more than half the holes, and the greens are generally elevated above the fairways.

The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 72 and stretches to roughly 7,140 yards from the back tees. Notable holes include the dogleg 5th, which plays between two creeks, and the double-dogleg 15th, protected by water. A separate nine-hole par-3 course and full practice facilities are also on site, and the course is open to the public.
