About this course

Connestee Falls Golf Course is a semi-private course within the gated Connestee Falls residential community near Brevard, North Carolina, at over 3,200 feet elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The course was designed by architect George Cobb as part of the community's original 1970s master plan.

The 18-hole layout winds through mountainous terrain with multiple tee options ranging from about 3,000 to 6,500 yards, offering scenic mountain vistas along the way. The course includes dogleg holes and elevation changes typical of Cobb's mountain designs.

While primarily serving Connestee Falls residents and members, the course offers limited tee times to public players, along with a pro shop and practice green.

The Rock Golf Club is a public course in Pickens, set on more than 100 acres of foothill terrain beneath Table Rock Mountain. Russell Breeden designed the course, which opened around 1980, and it winds through rolling hills, mountain streams and granite outcroppings. The signature par-3 eighth plays across a waterfall-fed creek, one of the most photographed holes in South Carolina. The property has carried several names over the years, including Gauley Falls and The Rock at Jocassee, and new ownership renovated the greens and clubhouse in 2017.

Etowah Valley Country Club

Etowah, NC · 14 mi away

Etowah Valley Golf Club sits in the mountains near Etowah, North Carolina, about thirty minutes from Asheville, on land that had previously been stripped bare by a brick manufacturing operation. The original 18 holes opened for play in 1967, with a third nine added in 1988. The course was designed by architect Edmund Ault, who routed long, tree-lined par 4s and par 5s across the reclaimed land. The South and West nines reflect the traditional style of the 1960s layout, while the North nine, added later, is more open with reachable par 5s and shorter par 3s. Etowah Valley operates as a golf resort with lodging, dining, and both member and public play across its 27 holes, and it remains one of the older mountain golf destinations in western North Carolina.
