Natchez Golf Club at Duncan Park
Natchez, MS · 9.0 mi away
Natchez Golf Club at Duncan Park is an 18-hole public course near historic downtown Natchez, Mississippi, on land donated by the Stephen Duncan family in 1908. The back nine, built around 1916 and reputed to be the work of Scottish designer Seymour Dunn, is one of the older golf layouts still in play in the state. The front nine was designed and built by Bryan Ault in 1993, featuring rolling terrain and Bermuda greens, while the historic back nine offers gentler topography through dogwoods, azaleas and live oaks draped in Spanish moss. Walter Hagen played an exhibition on the original nine, and Sam Snead played the course in 1939. The course is public, with a driving range and pro shop, and hosts the annual Natchez Open Golf Championship.
Tamahka Trails
Marksville, LA · 48 mi away
Tamahka Trails is an 18-hole public golf course at Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, Louisiana, owned by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe. Designed by Steve Smyers, the par-71 championship layout winds through 230 acres of rolling, tree-lined terrain with six sets of tees ranging from about 4,251 to 7,152 yards and roughly 75 bunkers. Its name comes from the Tunica-Biloxi word for alligator, and the course has hosted USGA sectional qualifying and Louisiana Golf Association championships.
Quail Hollow Golf Course
Mccomb, MS · 54 mi away
Quail Hollow Golf Course is an 18-hole layout inside Percy Quin State Park in McComb, Mississippi. It was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1996, built across the park's rolling natural terrain. The course measures roughly 6,700 to 6,750 yards from the tips with a par of 72, and greens are mini-verde ultradwarf grass paired with tifdwarf fairways. Holes move through wooded, hilly ground typical of southwest Mississippi, with a mix of doglegs and open landing areas that change character depending on the tee played. As a state park facility, Quail Hollow is open to the public and includes a pro shop and snack area. It is operated by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks rather than as a private club, and tee times can be booked through the park's golf shop.
