Quail Hollow Golf Course

Mccomb, MS · 35 mi away

Quail Hollow Golf Course is an 18-hole layout inside Percy Quin State Park in McComb, Mississippi. It was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1996, built across the park's rolling natural terrain. The course measures roughly 6,700 to 6,750 yards from the tips with a par of 72, and greens are mini-verde ultradwarf grass paired with tifdwarf fairways. Holes move through wooded, hilly ground typical of southwest Mississippi, with a mix of doglegs and open landing areas that change character depending on the tee played. As a state park facility, Quail Hollow is open to the public and includes a pro shop and snack area. It is operated by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks rather than as a private club, and tee times can be booked through the park's golf shop.

The Refuge

Flowood, MS · 47 mi away

The Refuge is a public, 18-hole course in Flowood, Mississippi, owned by the City of Flowood. Roy Case designed the original course, which opened in 1998 on about 200 acres of reclaimed wetland outside Jackson. The course was closed for a multi-year renovation led by architect Nathan Crace of Watermark Golf, reopening in the spring of 2021. The rework rebuilt the bunkers, installed new TifEagle greens, and upgraded the irrigation system. The layout is routed through pine and oak stands with lakes and creeks worked in from the original wetland grading. The Refuge is open to public play with tee times booked through the course.
