About this course
Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club is a 27-hole public golf course in Ocean View, Delaware, about three miles west of Bethany Beach. Rick Jacobson designed the course, which opened in 1999 and is arranged as three nine-hole loops named Grizzly, Kodiak, and Black Bear. The layout uses native wetland grasses, sand dunes, grassy hollows, and water hazards across gently undulating, walkable terrain. Bentgrass fairways and oversized bentgrass greens are maintained throughout, and four sets of tees accommodate a range of playing abilities.
