About this course
Arrowhead Golf Club is a 27-hole municipal facility in Wheaton, Illinois, operated by the Wheaton Park District and surrounded by forest preserve with no houses in play. Three nine-hole courses can be combined into three separate eighteen-hole par-72 layouts, with water in play on most holes and dozens of bunkers throughout.
The original 18-hole course opened in 1926 as the Antlers Club and was renamed Arrowhead in 1929 after artifacts found on the property during construction. The West nine was added in 1967, and the Wheaton Park District purchased the property in 1982; the course has since been redesigned by architect Ken Killian and updated by Greg Martin.
Arrowhead operates as a public course open to all golfers, with a lighted driving range, putting and chipping greens, and practice bunkers. The club also hosts corporate outings, lessons, and leagues, and is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

Village Links Of Glen Ellyn
Glen Ellyn, IL · 3.7 mi away
The Village Links of Glen Ellyn sits on land in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, that the village originally set aside in the 1960s to combine a public golf course with stormwater detention for the area. Architect David Gill of St. Charles, Illinois designed the original course, which opened for play in 1967. Gill's design incorporated bentgrass tees, irrigated fairways and a mix of sand and water hazards that were ahead of their time for a public course. A third nine, the Link-Up Nine, opened in 1975 and was later combined with the back nine to form an 18-hole course, leaving the original front nine as a separate 9-hole layout, giving the facility 27 total holes today. The Village Links is publicly owned and open to daily fee play. It has hosted PGA Tour qualifying and U.S. Open sectional qualifying rounds over the years.

Woodridge, IL · 5.1 mi away
Seven Bridges Golf Club sits along the East Branch of the DuPage River in Woodridge, Illinois, on part of the site once occupied by the Woodridge Golf Club, a public course that dated to 1926. The Village of Woodridge developed Seven Bridges as part of a larger community redevelopment plan, hiring architect Dick Nugent to design a new 18-hole course; it opened on July 1, 1991. The river winds through the property and requires golfers to cross it repeatedly, giving the course its name, with water coming into play on roughly half the holes. Seven Bridges operates as a daily-fee public course owned by the village, with a restaurant and banquet facilities on site alongside golf.
