American Dunes Golf Club
Jack Nicklaus tribute to military veterans on Lake Michigan dunes

About this course
American Dunes Golf Club sits above Lake Michigan in Grand Haven, Michigan. Jack Nicklaus rebuilt the former Grand Haven Golf Club from the ground up, and the 18-hole par 72 opened in 2021.
The redesign opened up the sand the old course had covered, so the holes now run through exposed dunes, waste areas and low scrub rather than tree corridors. Wind off the lake is a factor on most of the property, and the greens sit on natural high points with room to run the ball in.
The course was built as a fundraising course for Folds of Honor, the scholarship charity founded by Major Dan Rooney, and play is open to the public.
